Palladium Tokyo Rising

I've been posting regularly contents about Palladium Boots and their Explore series but the videos that I present today are definitely the coolest so far because Pharrell Williams is in them.

This is what Palladium Boots have to say about the Tokyo Rising videos: ' The series explores the creative forces that have been a constant source of inspiration for the musician throughout his many projects and we see the architecture, fellow musicians, artists and the parts of the city itself that have been an inspiration as well as an insight into all the hidden gems Tokyo has to offer.

Pharrell has been a great supporter of relief efforts for the Japanese citizens affected by the incidents of 3/11 and he jumped at the chance to visit the metropolis that has had such an impact upon him as an artist and as an individual as this beloved city faces a new reality after the tragedy of 3/11.

While persistent challenges still lay ahead, the city’s creative class is hell-bent on making sure that their hometown thrives. Innovative and resilient, they are defining the future of Tokyo on their own terms. '

Hope you enjoy these videos!

Vice: Young punks in the canal.

I shot these last Thursday when I went to Manchester to see Bright Eyes and Jenny Lewis. Met Rona & Aaron before the gig and they took me to the canal area, the location was incredible.

The photos are now published in Vice and Vice Style.
There are some other photos from the shoot in my Cargo Collective.

By the way, I'm back in Spain only for a few days, going to Gijón on Thursday :)

SAILOR JERRY presenta THE MENTALS by VICE from Adria Garcia on Vimeo.

This is how the people from Vice Spain and friends had fun this year at Primavera Sound festival. Remember me to do anything to try to attend next year, I've been trying to do it for several years but if it is not exams then it is something else avoiding it!

Fire walk with me

I had always wanted to shoot something inspired by Twin Peaks, in fact, one time I was really close to do it. Anyway, after seeing Jonathan Leder editorial for Vice Style I think I'm gonna pass haha! I discovered Jonathan's work when he shot for Soko Zine, and I must say that he has been a source of inspiration.

Check the whole editorial
here. I think Lynch wouldn't have been able to make it better.

Palladium Boots-Detroit

Some days ago I posted the collaboration between Vice and Palladium Boots in which Alice Dellal explored an abandoned Georgian house in Spitalfields. Now it's the turn for Johnny Knoxville and Detroit.

Palladium presents: Detroit Lives featuring Johnny Knoxville from Palladium on Vimeo.

Heritage boot brand Palladium are continuing their quest to explore hidden, forgotten and abandoned places in urban environments. Their latest exploration entitled "Detroit Lives" features Johnny Knoxville, who takes viewers on an "off-the-beaten path" exploration through the city to discover if there's more to Detroit than the scenes of destruction and abandonment that it has become known for. Once the fourth-largest metropolis in America—some have called Detroit the Death of the American Dream. In this 30 minute 3-episode documentary, Knoxville discovers a DIY paradise full of artists and entrepreneurs who view the abandoned "D" as a raw space where young people can create community and start rebuilding their city from the inside out. A burgeoning class of young people are inspiring each other by using the cities 'disadvantages' as opportunities. His hosts include notable Detroit punk band The Dirtbombs and hip-hop artist Black Milk.

You can watch the whole documentary and find more info about this project here

Just when you thought she had disappeared, Alice Dellal is back in this interview/fashion video created by VBS
