Luke took this photo of me before he left to the US back in December, the background image is some roses at my mother's garden.

I'm just trying to rest during this weekend but still have an exam next week and loads of things I need to sort out. I've been listening to Title Track a lot during the last few days, I'm seing Death Cab in July and really hope they play some of their old stuff.

This is a preview of the photoshoot I did for Article Magazine that should be out really really soon. First exam tomorrow and I'm updating this and wasting my time.

Can't wait to finish everything and grab a camera again, if everything goes as expected there should be some interesting projects this summer.

Sufjan Stevens

.

.

.

Yesterday I went to see Sufjan Stevens in Manchester. These last days in Liverpool hadn't been my best ones to be honest, was quite stressed with university and other issues, taking some relax time and leaving this city for a while was one of the best decisions I've made lately.

I can definitely say that this has been the best gig I've ever been to. He just appeared on the stage wearing these white feather wings, started playing an updated version of Seven Swans and continued with the whole Age of Adz album and some other songs from his previous material. As he described it at the beginning of the gig, this is a travel through space and I want you to join me and enjoy it, believe me I did. A back screen showing beautiful projections and a net fabric screen that would go down on the front of stage creating a 3d effect, amazing.

He talked to the audience for long times, about his parents, the artist that inspired The Age of Adz... changed into crazy outfits and accessories, danced and came back at the end and played some of the Illinoise album. All of this during 2 hours and a half.

About the videos: fragment of Impossible Soul, full Futile Devices performance (my favourite song from The Age of Adz) and of course Chicago with balloon rain included.

Took some photos and expect to develop them soon. If he's playing near you please don't miss the gig!

I've been feeling like Clay in the last couple of days, if you've read Less than zero you probably understand me.

It's a shame that I don't have my copy of the book here with me right now, could I say it is like a guide for me? Maybe. If you are extremely bored and have arrived here and don't have anything else to do look for other references on the old posts, I'm sure there will be loads in these last couple of years.

Hidden gems of L.A. - Palladium boots

Last year I posted a couple of videos of Alice Dellal and Johnny Knoxville exploring abandoned areas of London and Detroit. This time, the guys of Vice just sent me the latest collaboration with Odette Annable exploring some spots in L.A., what can I say? I just loved it and it makes me want to visit Los Angeles so much some time soon.

Boys on Film 01

This is a special edition of Girls on Film, it features male portraits taken by 18 artists. Again, thanks so much to everyone that submitted their work.

When I started this project didn't really know what to expect, this is the third issue and people's response to it has been amazing so I guess there will be more girls and boys on film :)

You can check the previous issues here in the zine's blog.
