Sunday Zine Review #12: In Passing by Michael Barolet

Michael Barolet, who was featured in Girls on Film 05, sent me this lovely zine.

In Passing is a A5 b&w collection of snap shots of people in the streets of New York, Michael plays the role of a 'parazzi' and photographs his subjects from unconventional angles. Love the spontaneity of the photos and how most of the people in them won't probably never know that their photo was taken.

The zine is published by Hamburger Eyes, if you want to get a copy you can do it here.

If you want to send a zine for a review just post a comment below or drop me a message to igortermenon@gmail.com!

Sunday Zine Review #11: Romka Magazine

This is the first issue of Romka Magazine I've ever bought and I regret not having known about it before.

This small magazine is all about photographs and the stories behind them, love the simple concept and how the images and texts interact with each other.

It was also nice to see some photos from photographers that have been featured at Girls on Film! If you want to get a copy of Romka, you can do it on their shop.

Sunday Zine Review #10: Thirteen States, Seventeen Days by Owen Richards

10th edition of the Sunday Zine Review! Got this little book on my last visit to Good Press Gallery.

Didn't know the work of Owen Richards before but I really recommend it now, he's done a lot of amazing band portraits and on his site he has some personal work as well, like the one in this book.

Thirteen States, Seventeen Days is a collection of American landscapes. I love how America is portrayed in the pictures, there is a kind of lonesome feeling. Would love to know if Owen was actually feeling that way during the trip.

If you want to get a copy of the book you can do it here.
