Didn't know the work of Owen Richards before but I really recommend it now, he's done a lot of amazing band portraits and on his site he has some personal work as well, like the one in this book.
Thirteen States, Seventeen Days is a collection of American landscapes. I love how America is portrayed in the pictures, there is a kind of lonesome feeling. Would love to know if Owen was actually feeling that way during the trip.
If you want to get a copy of the book you can do it here.
I took these photos during Christmas back in Spain, hadn't shot with Andrea Delgado in a while, so we took my car and drove around my hometown to do the editoral. The sunlight was amazing during all the holidays, you can tell by some of photos!
I went to Glasgow yesterday and paid a visit to Good Press Gallery, best place to buy zines in Scotland (online as well) so check their site or go and spend an afternoon in there.
Came back to Edinburgh with three new zines, so will be reviewing the rest during the next weeks.
American Surfaces is a A6 zine by Alex F. Webb, who is one of the founders of Fourteen-Nineteen. If you haven't heard about what they do, go and check their site as they have some pretty cool things in it.
American Surfaces is composed of images taken over one month in America with an iPhone, must admit that I'm not a big fan of mobile phone photography but this small book is beautiful and love how the images are put together in pairs. The main subjects of the photos are everyday objects, with a focus on textures or qualities that are not usually perceived at first glance.
