The Youthquake

A couple of weeks ago my shoot Ragged Mountain was featured at Chilean website The Youthquake.
Now I'm happy to say that I will be posting contents regularly for them as a guest contributor, so if you can understand Spanish click here for my first entry, a review on Hobo Magazine.

Sunday Zine Review #02: OWT #09 'Chance'

Second Sunday Zine Review, this time OWT #09 'Chance' .
OWT is a design collective based in Manchester, I discovered them when I was living in Liverpool and immediately liked what they do. The 4 members of the collective put together a zine called OWT with a different theme for each issue, so a few months ago I decided to send them some of my work for OWT #05 'Atmosphere'.
I loved the result so I sent a couple of photos for OWT #09 'Chance' . The zine is a collection of photos, illustration, collage and other types of media (you can even find an original Kodachrome slide) put together nicely in a quite innovative format. Browsing through the zine you can find different interpretations of the theme 'Chance' by 20 creatives.
You can find more about OWT by clicking here and order a copy here.

Here's the new issue of Boys on Film. The first issue of the Girls on Film and Boys on Film series came out in March this year and I have been editing one issue per month since then so I have to thank everyone that has contributed.

By the way, today I started working as a volunteer at Stills, which is a really nice photography gallery here in Edinburgh.

Sunday Zine Review #01: Bronze Age #01
I've just decided to do this new section on my blog, the Sunday Zine Review! So if everything goes well expect a new review every Sunday at around this time :)
I was in Glasgow last Thursday and paid a visit to Mono. When I was living there I knew about Mono just around 3 months before leaving, it was a shame but actually it was good for my money cause I would have been spending every single penny there.
This new space called Good Press Gallery has just opened in Mono. They sell a huge selection of fanzines and I wish I had had some more money with me when I visited them. I browsed through several publications and finally decided to buy a copy of the first issue of Bronze Age.
What I first liked about it was the paper used on the cover and the fact that it was hand stitched, inside there's a great selection of young artists from several disciplines. Bronze Age is curated by Justin Bailey and Nick Lynch. For more info on the project and on how to get a copy visit their site.
I hope to see a new issue soon!
