Wroclaw

I've just realized that I haven't updated the blog in a while. It's probably the longest I've been without posting anything new since I created the blog in 2009 so I'm gonna try to go back to the weekly updates.

These are some photos I took during my trip to Wroclaw, Poland, last month. It was my first time there and was really impressed by the architecture and also the light was amazing. You can see them bigger along with more photos on my website:

Over the last few weeks I've been busy with other projects. Last month I also shot the second part of my series A Day in Glasgow which should be up here on the blog by the end of next week. I've also created a new website for Girls on Film and I've been spending more time on Future Positive. Also add the 7.5h a day of my full-time job and you may understand why there hasn't been any update in so long!

Apart from this, I'm shooting an editorial for French magazine I Heart this Saturday. The magazine team travels to a different city for each issue and this time they've chosen Glasgow (good choice!).

A Day in Glasgow - Daniel Micah DeWolfe

Here are a few photos from the personal project I talked about a few weeks ago. In "A Day in Glasgow" I'm contacting Glasgow residents I hardly know and asking them to take me to their favourite places in the city, spending the day with them and documenting the whole experience.

For the first part of the series I decided to message Daniel Micah DeWolfe. Daniel is half American, half German and has been living in Glasgow for a year. He's a student at Glasgow School of Art and took me to his favourite haunts, starting in the West End and walking through Argyle Street to get to the city centre.

I hope to continue this series with some new photos next month. You can see the rest of the photos from the first part on my website:

Oblivion pt. XII

When I was selecting the photos for this post I realised that I hadn't uploaded images from my series "Oblivion" since December last year! To make up for it, here are some photographs I've taken since I bought the Contax T2 4 months ago.

You can check the rest of the series here and on my website.

I'm also starting a new personal project next weekend. I want to keep it secret until I publish the first photos, but here's a clue: Glasgow.

Last Days of College

Sorry about the lack of updates but I decided to take a little break this summer and spend most of my free time on my side project Future Positive.

I took these photos a few weeks ago and they were published in Bast Magazine. My friend Danielle Coates helped me again with the styling and the model is Anton Jones.

You can see the rest of the photos from the editorial on my website:

Marta

Took these photos of my friend Marta in April when I went back to my parents' house in Spain. I've known Marta for over 10 years now, we met in high school and I've been probably taking photos of her since she was 21 or 22 years old.

After School

A couple of months ago, I shot this editorial and short film here in Edinburgh. It was great to work again with stylist Katherine Whyte - every time I've worked with her the result has been amazing!

Ciara Rafferty @ModelTeam and Sophie Crooks @Colours were lots of fun and were great both on the pictures and the video. Also, Caron Tait (MUA and hair) did an amazing job.

If you want to check the whole editorial, you can do it on my website:

Boys on Film 08

Earlier this week, I released the latest issue of Boys on Film. It also came with great news because I received an email from the MoMA library being interested in adding all the issues of Girls on Film and Boys on Film to their archive!

I will be sending them a parcel with all the issues in a couple of weeks - New Yorkers, you should be able to enjoy Girls on Film for free really soon!

Head to Girls on Film website to check this issue online or buy a copy:

Future Positive - Brew Lab

Here are some of the latest photos I took for Future Positive. Future Positive is one of the side projects I'm involved in and it's a website that features interviews with creative and entrepreneurial individuals.

We started the website in January and this is our third project, an interview with the founders of Brew Lab here in Edinburgh.

Have a look at more photos and find out more about Future Positive here:

Doldan Sisters x Makelovelovemake

Last Christmas I shot a little lookbook for new label Makelovelovemake, it has taken a while but the photos are finally out.  The models were my friends Amalia and Marta Doldan, whom I had shot many times before so it was fun to spend one day with them making the lookbook.

There are some more photos from the lookbook here on my website!
